Software Defined Power Electronics

We do power electronics development for custom applications and rapid development, using software defined power electronics.  Our aim is to use software defined power electronics to do rapid power electronics development.  We utilise standard building blocks, including control electronics and power electronics.  We work with custom designed power electronics as well as commercial off the shelf power electronic stack assemblies.

The result is that the customer just pays for the custom application layer firmware development, and not for the complete power electronics and control electronics development.

Hardware customization can be requested by the customer, which increases development cost and time. However, it remains faster and more cost-effective than developing from scratch.

Applications cover motor drives like DC motors (separately excited, shunt, series, and compound), AC induction machines, and permanent magnet machines (BLDC, PMSM). Other uses include grid-tied and standalone inverters, multi converter/inverter setups such as step-up inverters, and fuel cell power systems needing multiple converters and an inverter.  Custom designs such as electromagnet controller, crane drives and other speciality custom applications are also covered.

Our control electronics use card-based designs with plug-in cards and motherboards for versatile applications. We develop single and multiple converter/inverter setups, covering STM32, Texas Instruments, and Arduino MCU plug-in cards.

We provide a robust, structured and extensive firmware resource, development infrastructure, and versatile power electronics designs suitable for various applications.
